IN VERITY.

My words will change
My world,
Regardless of appliance.
My gifts will tame
My girl,
Despite applied defiance.

My maid will bear
My moods
Towards her countenance.
My greed will rain
My goods
Around her boundary fence.

My hold will seal
My home
Upon her soft traverse.
My gains will turn
My goal
Into avarice or worse.

My hooves will take
My heart
Far from evolution’s course.
My guide will learn
My guilt
And my cold rapaciousness.

My world will fail
My words,
Preserved with due inference.
My girl will shun
My gifts,
Inferred by disappearance.
