BEING JOB CENTERED.

If you wake up
In the winter,
And the sun is
Overhead,
Then at the very least
You know you’ve overslept.

If the bed is
Very empty,
And the sheets are
On the floor,
Then at least you know the
Impression that you left.

If the day is
That much colder
Than it looked like
From the inside,
Then it’s possible that
You have under dressed.

If you did not
Even notice
That you don’t have
All your clothes on,
Then it’s going to put
Your excuse to the test.

If you see the
Time is later
Than your employer
Appreciates,
Then it’s probable you’ll
Loose your clientele.

If the door’s not
Even open
When you go home
After lunch,
Then it’s as likely that your
Wife has gone as well.

If it’s all been
Worth the effort,
And you don’t care
In the slightest,
Then I guess it’s all worthwhile
Then in the end,

But if you can’t get love
Nor money,
And your life has
Been forsaken,
Then the only one to blame
Is someone else.
